Use this handy gadget to check battery voltage before you fly, or leave it connected to a battery in your plane to let you know when it's time to land.

This Battery Checker with Low Voltage Alarm connects to the balance plug (JST/XH type) of a 2 to 8 cell lipo battery and displays the voltage of each cell, as well as the total voltage of the battery.

It also features a loud alarm that can be set to activate if any one of the cells drops below a preset minimum voltage.

Minimum voltage can be set from 3.30 volts per cell up to 3.90 volts per cell.

The best thing invented to preserve lipos. I have mine set for 3.6 volts for the alarm. I bring my plane down as soon as it beeps. Normally after a hard 3D flight (48 inch plane, 2200mah 3s) I get a static voltage of 3.7v to 3.8v. Remember the voltage in the air under load is lower. And that's the beauty of this thing, even in the air, under load I do not want my batteries to go below 3.3v, hence I set the alarm for 3.6v as a buffer. Perhaps I could go down to a 3.5 voltage per cell threshold, but I get enough flight time with my good packs with the limit set at 3.6v Don't have telemtry on my TX, so this is the next best thing, and it monitors each cell. Alarm is loud so I have no problem hearing it while the plane or the quad is in the air.

Mr.
Think you're safe with your Spektrum voltage telemetry sensor? Wrong! That sensor only gives you the total volts of your battery, not the volts of the individual cells. Individual battery cells sometimes deplete in voltage at different speeds, so you could be flying at 11V thinking it's all good but little do you know two of your battery's cells are 4V and the third cell is about to dip below 3V and wreck your battery and explode your plane jihad style! With this very audible alarm, it will scream once the lowest cell touches the defined threshold (default 3.5V). I bought several, good to have on hand. My only complaint is that I wish they were even louder because I fly high, so I'm going with four stars.

Cheap, Works
I use this to monitor cell voltage on LiPos in modded nerf guns. Decent price, and both of the two I've ordered work fine. Note, as with most of these, there is a relatively loud beep when the battery is first connected.

Mr
I recently received this item and have compared the readings to my Hobbico battery checker. There is a discrepancy between the two when comparing readings on one to another, so I do not know which one is more accurate. Anyway, this has an alarm that is nice and it is bright and easy to read the digital readouts of the individual cells.
