Beacon Foam-Tac Adhesive can be used on Depron, EPS, EPP, XPS, EPO and many other types of foam, as well as carbon fiber and wood -- making it an excellent glue for RC planes.  Foam-Tac Adhesive will not attack, melt or dissolve foams but holds quickly and cleanly.  It remains clear and flexible once dry and does not become brittle.  And unlike cyanacrylate adhesives (CA), Foam-Tac Adhesive will not bond to your skin.

Instructions for Use:

  • ALWAYS test on scrap materials first to ensure compatibility.
  • Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease.
  • Spread glue evenly on both sides of material to be bonded.
  • Allow surfaces to air dry for 10-20 minutes depending upon size of area being glued.
  • Press surfaces firmly together.
  • Maximum bond is achieved within 24 hours or less.
  • Always replace the flat white cap after each use to prevent product evaporation.

  • Do not use near open flame or ignition source.
  • Avoid prolonged inhalation of vapors.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

I've never had such a close emotional bond with an adhesive. This stuff is miracle goop. It behaves exactly like you would want in foam applications - it's roughly the same density and rigidity. But it also holds very strong. On top of all that, it's easy to clean off hands when working with it, doesn't emit any irritating fumes, and dries clear and stays clear. Repairs are so much less daunting with Foam-Tac, and in addition building EPP models with Foam-Tac is a joy. I have a box full of different adhesives and this is by far the best.

just a nine year model plane hobbyist
Foam-Tac is all I use on all the RC Powers foam jets that I build. I may use a spot of hot glue if I get in a hurry. Otherwise it takes overnight for the Foam-Tac to weld the parts securely. Saves a lot of extra weight on the foam jets.

Stays flexible
Unlike most other brands Foam Tec stays flexible and colorless for years, No more brittle glue breaking loose with age. May cost a little more, but well worth it.
