How to Raise Money for Your Club: Become an Affiliate!

We love the RC flying hobby and the RC community. Why else would we do what we do? We have been honored to sponsor fly-ins, vend at events, and contribute to after-school programs and STEM class projects. In this spirit of community, we have rolled out our Affiliate Program

What is the Affiliate Program?

The Affiliate Program is a partnership between Heads Up RC and your flying club.

How does it work?

  • Register to become a member of the Affiliate Program.
  • Embed our banner and link to our site on your club’s website.
  • Encourage your members to shop our site by clicking on the link.
  • Earn 5% of all member sales, payable monthly.
Your club must have a tax ID (even if it is a non-profit) and a PayPal account to receive payment.

Who is an affiliate?

Our program has received lots of interest already. The Las Vegas Radio Control Club became the first RC club to join. We sponsored their Warbirds over Las Vegas event in 2017 and are excited to continue working with their community of pilots.

We had RC clubs in mind when we created the Affiliate Program, but if you write a blog or host a website that is relevant to the RC aircraft hobby, we are happy to work with you, too. For example, another of our Affiliate members is QuadCopter Coach.

Joel Lukacher has created a unique program to teach pilots how to build their own quadcopter from scratch in about a day. Additionally, we are partnering with Quadcopter Coach to supply his students with the parts they will need.

I’m interested! How do I sign up?

To get started, click here or the “Become an Affiliate” link at the bottom of our homepage. Once you have finished the registration process, email Jodi at [email protected]. She will activate your membership and send you information on how to embed the link in your site. Feel free to email her or call at 352-625-3556 for more information about the process.
