The Leopard Power 5055/6T is a 9.52 ounce, 650kv, 1200 watt outrunner brushless motor that is well suited for sport and scale planes weighing 5-10 pounds.  It is ideally designed for use with 3-6 cell lipo batteries.  We recommend using a 100 amp ESC with this motor.

The Leopard Power 5055/6T motor comes with 4.0mm male bullet connectors installed.  An x-mount is included for mounting the motor to a firewall, and a rotor end prop adapter is included for mounting propellers.

Gary J. uses the Leopard Power 5055/6T motor on his Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 10CC, swinging an APC 14 x 10E prop, powered by a 4S 14.8v 3300mah lipo and Sky Power 80A ESC; this combination produces about 7.25 pounds static thrust @ 1005 watts.

Mr.
I purchase this motor in order to do an electric conversion on a Sig Kadet Senior. The Senior previously flew with a 70 size four stroke nitro engine. The Leopard Power 5055/6T 650KV Outrunner Brushless Motor was recommended as a 60 size two stroke nitro equivalent and I couldn't be happier with the results. I am currently powering this motor with a 4s 5000mah battery and swinging a 14x10E prop. The motor has MORE than enough power using just the 4s (but is capable of 6s) battery making the Sig Senior capable of terrific vertical climbs and extremely long flight times, I get over 11 minutes of flight time with this set up and I'm at least half throttle the whole time! I love this motor and it is half the price of the Eflite Power 60, which it will fly circles around, I know this from personal experience.

Radial Rocket
I have this motor on a Seagull Models Radial Rocket (flying weight 7.5 lbs) and run it with a 5000mah 4S lipo, a 14x7 APC prop, and 70A ESC. It flies great with this setup and I'm looking forward to getting a lot of flying time with it this summer!

Sweetheart Motor
A sweetheart of a motor. I installed this motor in my new Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 10cc with an APC 14x10 prop powered by a 4S 3300 mAh battery connected to a Skypower 80A ESC and a Powerup RD610 receiver. The motor runs incredibly smooth and quiet and on the test stand proved to be spot on the numbers HURC puts in their prop test results. Ready for flight the model weighs in at 7 pounds even. On the test stand the motor/prop/battery combination produced 116 oz of thrust and 1005 watts of power while drawing 65 amps. Most of the 7 minute maiden flight yesterday was flown at half throttle and even there power had to be reduced to 1/4 throttle commencing the downwind leg in order to reduce the speed enough for a smooth landing. I have a number of models powered by HURCs previous line of Firepower motors and have been very satisfied with their performance but I believe this motor is superior even to those motors.
